 Configuring a general-purpose digital panel meter (DPM) to read alternating electric current is not a trivial task. Combine this with the fact that many DPM users are not trained electrical engineers, and the task becomes even more difficult. C&D Technologies' new AC ammeters, with their built-in current transformers (CT), simplify the most problematic part of ac ammeter applications. Most installations require no more than three connections: two for operating power, and one for the AC load.
C&D Technologies' New ACA-20RM Series are the first digital ac-ammeters to incorporate a built-in CT to directly measure the true-rms value of complex, non-sinusoidal ac currents from 2 to 50A.
C&D's average responding input ACA-20PC Series are the world's first digital ac ammeters to incorporate built-in CT's to directly measure ac currents from 0-2A to 0-100A.
